Christmas eve 2015

December 24, 2015 Claudia du Plessis

How exciting this all is for me, my first blog on my new shop and a new life at the coast.

The eve of great things to come.

It's been a rather hectic few months in our home, packing up, moving to a new province, unpacking, feeling relieved that the moving company lost the ironing board, resigning from a job, traveling across country with the dogs and bunnies, assembling two children many planks and screws, aptly called "divorce in a box" and then settling into a completely new area.

On this Christmas eve I'm grateful to my amazing Terence, who's been my anchor when I just wanted to run from it all and who provided the calm to my storm and who always believes in me. My friend Megan who convinced me that I can actually have a online shop, who tirelessly helped me....quite a feat considering I didn't own a pc till a few months ago, and who proof read for me. And I miss Dawn, I miss drinking so many cappuccinos with you that my crochet needle vibrates in my hands and my kidneys shrivel up like raisins, and we're not even close to finishing our "kuier". And I miss my son, Reuben, who will be coming down early in January....very excited to see my young man again.

No matter what you believe or don't believe in, I wish for you a time of happiness spent in the company of those you love.

Christmas wishes and holiday cheer.

Such a lovely first post! I’m proud of you. Hope you are having a lazy Christmas day. The most important thing to do is to eat LOTS and to not do anything that feels remotely like work.
